I have never fished the aqueduct. I live in Fresno, where is a good starting point, with access?

The Kettleman City Fishing access is a great location to stat fishing. That’s where we’ll be having the “weigh in” for the tournament. The exact gps coordinates and directions are in the rules in one of the links above.

I just went to the aqueduct at Fairfax, off Belmont. Baitfish everywhere, not even a bite. Makes it hard to want to try that again.

Early morning is your best bet in the Central ducts. I was near the 145 area this past weekend and there was a window in the early morning when they were boiling entire stretches of the ducts.

Got my first striper this weekend. Ended up with 5, and 2 largemouth. Released them all.

3 Stripers on a boil, the rest blind. It was a good time.

I’m glad you hooked up. Hard work and persistence pays off. Keep at it. This is one of the best time of the year to catch them.

You can use artificial lures or bait. As long as it doesn’t violate any state regulations you’re free to use it.
